A Positive Katrina Story

Living through Hurricane Katrina and the associated devastation has been difficult. Many individuals, companies and contractors have taken every opportunity to take advantage of the people trying to rebuild. However, there is always a silver lining in every cloud. Doug’s Tubs has been one of those silver linings for my wife and me.

As we begin the rebuilding process, we needed to economize but we wanted to rebuild using quality material. I searched the internet looking for bath tubs, and then I found Doug’s tubs. I spoke to Doug personally; he gave me great advice, and a great price (something a Katrina victim doesn’t see). As the rebuilding process progressed, we realized that we were more than overly optimistic in estimating when we would need a tub. In fact, we were delayed almost one year. Last week, I finally installed my Doug’s tub. Because the tub had been moved around for a year during construction, I had a couple of parts that were damaged. I called Doug and explained my situation, he did not hesitate, and my parts were shipped overnight at no cost. As I began to thank him he stopped me in mid sentence and said “that’s what they call customer service”
